How To Turn Off Music, But Leave Nav On

Featured Replies

Silly question really, but one that is bugging me with my Mk3 2013 Titanium navigator

I often want to drive with no music playing, but with the sat nav on

BUT HOW? the moment you start the car it starts playing the radio or my ipod or the cd. yes you can mute them, but the moment you restart the car they play again!!!

Currently I have the volume set to 0 to shut them up. but this also silences the sat nav

The sat nav mute remembers the setting and stays muted if you select that but not the music sources, they go back to play each restart

What am I doing wrong. Surely I can stop playing music while using the sat nav and have it remember that setting

Thanks

S

As a workaround, set it to ipod or Aux and don't plug anything in?

That would be good except I have a hidden iPod permanently plugged in

But even if that wasn't the case you can't select a source that doesn't have something in it. If you select cd or aux and the are empty it says no cd/files found and goes back to radio

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

I put mine on Bluetooth so it connects to my phone, but then don't play anything on it.

I only ever do it if I have people from work in the car, other than that the phone is playing spotify to within an inch of the life of my speakers

Thanks Invisible, will have to try that out
