Sony Sat Nav

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there are any instructions about for the Sony sat nav system

in the new Fiesta because I am really struggling to get to grips with how to use

it as it did not come with any guidance. Thanks.

I haven't looked at what info there is in the users manual but I've been able to figure out most of it with a bit of trial and error. If you tell us what you're struggling with I'm sure we can help :)

Many thanks for your reply. I am popping it back to the garage and the salesman is going to go through it with me again; even

he appeared to be struggling with it the first time. Up to now I have used a cheap Mio sat nav which was simple to use and

100% effective. I guess I am expecting to much from the Sony in simply wanting to put in a postcode, push a button and start my journey. I will come back to this site with any questions if I am still stuck. Thanks again.

You should be able to do that without too much trouble, I think you go to destination input then put in the postcode, then start navigation, choose between eco/fast/short route (I made mine default to fast so it doesn't ask that every time) and you're away. It doesn't let you enter a house number if you choose a postcode, but someone said you can choose a house number if you choose a street instead.

I was going to have a play with mine later anyway so I'll check that my instructions above are correct. It does take some getting used to to be fair, have you figured out what the buttons do, especially the 4 along the bottom for the options along the bottom of the screen?

Since my last post I have had another fiddle with it and was able to put in a destination. I haven't yet figured out the

buttons at the bottom of the screen but hopefully I will be better informed after I see the salesman (if none the wiser) I

am just annoyed that an idiots guide did not come with the car.

Isn't the info in the owners guide page 234?

Sorry for the late reply - thanks. Yes, I found it after looking through the owners guide. I believe it

was under N - navigation, stupid me thought is would be under S - satellite navigation!
