    Hello lester1982. Wynns products are also very popular!! Why the clean? Just a case of prevention better than cure or something more sinister?

    The Wynns and Redex products are based on very old chemistry, and although they work they are nowhere near as effective as the newer cleaners, but they are cheaper

    They are also not so good at cleaning DPF and EGR components as they are really directed at fuel line and injectors

    I used the 6400-D on my 7 month old diesel at 6000 miles and could feel a big difference, even though you'd expect it to still be pretty clean at that stage. It worked wonders on my old 200K miles land Rover

    Just as a prevention ( trying to look after a petrol engine that's done a modest 63000 miles) thinking of going with either the redex/ wuins average price and decent reviews
