Ford Focus Estate 55 1.6 Tdci

Featured Replies

I'm having problems with my 55 Reg Ford Focus Estate diesel 1.6 TDCI. I've had nothing but trouble since we had an oil leak a couple of weeks ago, a split breather pipe was the problem, this was fixed. Then about a week later the power train warning light came on.... then it would go into limp home mode before chugging to a halt. It would restart again straight away and everything was fine. This was diagnosed as a Turbo Surge that was fixed and the system was reset by ford diagnostics plus a new fuel filter, problem solved. It's been driving fine this week without a problem. Then today totally lost power on the outside lane of the A1 this time there were no warning lights, just a total loss of power, no chugging just nothing until we ground to a halt. Again it started straight away without a problem. Any ideas what this could be before I get back onto the garage..... Hopefully it is a minor problem.
