Alarm Going Off

Featured Replies

Can I lock the doors without setting the alarm?. It goes off Willy nilly and the garage couldn't find a problem. It's due in another garage Tuesday but I am going to get complaints from neighbours if it keeps going off at night

I also get notice on dash on occasion that rear passenger door is open but it isn't.

Once the car locks the alarm comes on automatically.

I'd say that the door switch is duff for sure.

Try spraying wd40 into the switch and working the mechanism manually a few times, the contacts inside may be sticking or corroded.

Turned out to be a faulty lock on rear passenger door. Had it replaced. Not a cheap job

I think the alarm only activates if you deadlock the doors but that might just be my imagination.
