Transmission Malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I have started having a problem with my Ford Focus (2008 Automatic). When I try to pull off there's no power at all and I get the message Transmission Malfunction on the dashboard.

My friend plugged in a OBD 11 and it gave the code P0741.

Could anybody tell me what the code means and what the problem is likely to be?

Many thanks!

no idea what it means but http://www.obd-codes.com/p0741

hi there, I have since discovered that the code P0741 means Torque convertor clutch solenoid circuit performance. Could you shed any light on this. Any information would be very much appreciated.

many thanks

Is it possible to check the gear box oil level on this as low oil can cause all sorts of probs that's where I would start .
