E M U Light On Juddering At Low Revs

Featured Replies

Hi I'm new to this forum, I have a 51 plate 1.6 focus the e m u comes on

I loose my speedo & digital readout the car judders @ low revs as if its starved of fuel?? Can you offer any thoughts as to what is causing this & a possible cure. Many thanks

It sounds like you have the common speed sensor fault. It is plugged into the top of the gearbox and held in with a locking pin.

Sometimes it suffers from water ingress and a good clean can sort it. Also the cable runs along the HT Leads and can cause a short if fraid. So you may be able to fix it yourself or you may have to buy a new one.

I had the same fault when I had my 02 plate focus. Speed sensor was the fault. Very common just like btmaldon said. I would go for changing the sensor.
