Just bought a 51 plate Ford Focus 2.0 Ghia. I have a slight problem with the N/S rear passenger door, as the child lock is stuck on, I can open the door using the outside handle, but NOT from within the car.

I have inserted my key within the tab in the door lock, and whichever way I turn it, the child lock remains on. The other rear door child lock works fine. Anyone have any idea how to release the problem one?

I would look at sourcing a second hand one less hassle in the end run .

mines buggered too, although its in the unlocked position so no nearly as much hassle. the problem on mine is the wee white bit has snapped probably because it was turned the wrong way, I think

was the one but I cant be sure, it defo looks like the part but there are so many out there on ebay, then theres 4 different finis codes per side of the car for different variations of lock too
