Ford Focus Cc Engine/egr Issue - P0400

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, looking for advise on my ford focus CC. I currently have the engine warning light on. Plugged into this with a OBD reader. Shows P0400 (EGR Flow Malfunction). Car has had the light on now for over a month. The issue originated when the car had a major 6 year service and would suspect perhaps the correct amount of engine oil was not replaced right but can't prove this to the garage. Day after it was serviced I had to add 2 litres of oil to the car. The car also is currently using an excessive amount of oil ( 1\2 litre every 2 weeks) Over the last few weeks I've had fords and a independent garage look at the car. To date I've had the following done:

• EGR Valve Replaced and all piping blown through

• Throttle control body and sensor replaced

• Engine air supply assembly solenoid replaced

• catalytic converter cleaned through

My Car has only done 58,000, Manufactured in 2008.

2litre Durtec Engine.

Could anyone please advise what maybe the issue?

Its frustrating not knowing any garage in my area can get to the bottom of the issue.
