Focus Gearbox End Plate???

Hey every1 i have a gear box leak coming from the end plate on the gearbox. if any1 has any info on where i can get a new 1 from and how much it will cost. i have a 2003 focus 1.6 zetec with manual gearbox. i have looked everywhere on the net but not had any luck. Haven't tried ford yet as they r a last resort due to costing me more.

    Is the casing cracked or is it leaking from the joint?

    If from the joint then just remove the end plate & reseal it.

    If it's cracked then you could buy a scrap or 2nd hand box just for the end plate you need.

    The end plate is most likely just sealed with liquid gasket paste.

    The end plate is really rusty and is seeping through. Its ok when cold but as soon as the gearbox heats up it starts dripping again. I will try a scrap yard. Do i need a gasket for this or can i just use sealer???
