today i thought id spend a bit of time with my fiesta.

I havent got any great pictures but went a got myself some applicator pads, some high resin polish and some microfibre towels. Went to the garage and washed the car, got it home, quick conditioner wash and then used the polish with pads and went over each panel to give it a nice smooth finish :)

Please, remind me never to polish a car by hand again!

( sorry for the rubbish pics, not a lot of room! )

Nice n shiney though I'd lose the road tax

Shiny? You've blinded me :p

Lovely shine, and I know what you mean I spent about 4 and a half hours washing and polishing my car a couple weeks ago, 2 coats of super resin which gave a lovely shine. But I won't be doing that very often lol, too much work.

If you used a sealant like auto glym extra gloss protection after using the SRP, it would protect your hard work and make it easier to wash and keep the shine for longer. You would just wash the car then go round with a quick detailer, it will be back to how it was when first polished.

Yeah I've been thinking of trying a sealant, never used one before though. Maybe if I polish it again before the really cold weather comes along, then seal it that should protect it through winter.

It should do, I used EGP on my van and it lasted a good 3 months last winter (about 12k miles) and it still looked good after a wash.
