ianglanister
Hi all thought I would post my van on here I've had it for a few months now and when I first got it the only mod was some ghia alloys thay soon changed. I've spent a lot of time and money up to now and it's no where near finished. I have a lot of plans and to be clear everything I'm doing on the van I'm building myself. I did the wheels, moulding of the rear bumper and skirts, custom exhaust etc etc. The only thing I'm not doing myself is the MOT because I can't. Rear bumper needs finishing as do my custom LED rear lights. Then it's repair all dents and rust and full respray. Will let the pics do the talking now and update soon with the future plans. FOCA
Nice job! Im not sure about the wheel color - i can't help feeling chrome/ silver or gold or some other color would look better (depends on what you plan to do with the rest of the van) i wonder if you can get lexus rear lights for it (you can get smoked/ clear side repeaters) The other thing is you might need a bit more power to go with the looks
ianglanister
Hi thanks for the reply. Once all the body work is finished the van will get a full respray in a nice bright white (something like the audi's come in) The general these is black and what hence doing the wheels like. As for the rear lights I have never (nor has any other owner I know) seen after market rear lights for a van for some reason. I am building my own instead certainly one of a kind. Everything from the B pillar forward is the same as the cars so the side repeaters and headlights etc fit. I've got smoked side repeaters now fitted and looking for some black angel eye headlights for it. The power is going to be sorted soon. I want to build a zetec turbo for it with the base as a mondeo 2L engine. I've built a 1.8 in the past for an escort convertible. I'm currently boarding out in the back and going to wrap it in black carpet and start with the sound systems Two 12 Inch subs off its own amp, Three 6x9s down each side, each side running off its own amp. Custom fibreglass pods in the front doors with 3 Speakers in each door again each door off its own amp. Up to know it's been a lot of work but well worth it. I understand it won't be everyone's cup of tea but it'd completely different to the usually cossie rep which is what I wanted I could easily go out and buy a cossie kit but I didn't want to do something that's been done so many times already
