Mk Fiesta - New Ecu Needed :(

Featured Replies

So, a friend's 2007 MK6 Fiesta was not working fine and it turned out the ECU was cooked. The local ford dealership asked around 2000 gbp for a new ECU and to have it programmed. Is there anything he can do to get away with a cheaper fix? 2000 pounds sounds ridiculously expensive.

My ECU got replaced through ford a couple of months back and cost £1600 for diagnostics the ECU and fitting inc VAT

So the fact you've been given a quote of 2000 is a bit concerning you may be able to get an ecu from a breakers yard or somewhere like ford parts on line? Alternatively depending on the problem with the ecu it can be sent off for repair! If you need any info pm me

That's where I sent my one to! Turned out to be the pats module, they couldn't repair it. It's 50 for the test.. Can't remember how much to repair though
