    Ah I see, yeah I guess as it's under warranty it probably helps. They probably figure anything that ford would be willing to fix if it broke the car can't be that dangerous :P

@Mental_Atom - I am so happy for you !

I picked up my 09 plate Zebec S a week ago. Also love rear diffuser ! :)

I am with Admiral 3rd year now. Have 7 years no claim bonus (apparently Admiral does up to maximum of 5 or 6 years - even if you have more). They quoted me like under 500 a year, so not bad. Its fully comp with 150 excess. Been told all insurances went up this year. Also difficult to find something significantly cheaper online. If so - by 20-50 pounds. Decided to stay with same company. Always can argue about loyalty etc :):)

Agreed am with admiral too but have to look for cheaper to get best price tho this year was 800 odd renewal with no mods a phoned them and they put it to 645 with mods

Agree.

My renewal (had it 5th of October) was like 390. This was still for my old 53 plate 1.8 petrol focus.

Called them saying I found online like 9 companies offering cheaper, with same voluntary excess etc. The support chap was saying something about checking with his supervisor, some data on system, quoting some script information la la la and eventually said it can go down to 310 ! Just like that, simply as I called and said I found cheeper option but want to stay with them. Shocked. This then increased slightly, as I pay monthly. Then got a quote on Fiesta (as changed the car) and considering this is 12 monthly payments - got like under 50 a month. This includes some posh replacement car etc. Well, could be cheaper with someone else maybe, but it will be like up to 5 per month less ...

Oooh, what options/colour did you go for?

My insurance quotes all changed, my cheapest is now £650 for 12 month with insure.co.uk (via Aviva). Excess of £500 but nobody seems to want to go below that... just better hope I don't need to claim :P Not too bad for holding license > 1 year, brand new car and being only 20.

Seems like you've been waiting an age mate! Glad you're getting it soon though :D

Make sure you give it a good check over when you pick it up though. Mine was a factory order too and its had a few issues with paint finish and panel alignment due to the factory trying to rush them out.

I'm giving it a thorough check when it arrives, my next door neighbour is also gonna help (any chance to have a look haha!)

What happened with the issues on yours? Were they sorted?

Well the passenger door wasn't hung properly and thus when its shut isn't flush with the rest of the body work. Some of the fixings that hold the body kit on hadn't been screwed in properly/ screw holes holes hadn't been drilled, the base of the passenger side A-pillar under the bonnet hadn't been sprayed properly on one side. They're mostly minor things which I can fix myself apart from the door. (still waiting on a call from the service centre to get it re-hung.)

i'm probably only gonna keep mine for the 9 months anyway so its not worth kicking up a fuss, but its worth being more diligent than I was when you pick it up!

I'd hope they'd check that before they deliver it if I'm honest! They're coming 160 miles so the last thing they're gonna want me to do is reject the car :P

I find it weird your car made it through all the checks with that many issues :O
