I'm just sitting here in the dark waiting for someone and have noticed that the boot release button doesn't illuminate is this broken or is it that just they don't.

I just went out in my car to see as I was curious and mine doesn't light up either just think they don't.

I only asked as it seems to be sort of transparent, is yours a petrol?

Yeah its 1.4 petrol pre-facelift.

I would guess that yours sounds pretty naff on a cold start up aswell, i have had it for a couple of years now and its always done it, when i hopefully get a focus or fiesta with an ecoboost i wont miss the cold start up noises hahaha.

Yeah it does , At the beginning of the year I had an exhaust leak and what a racket it made just lots of loud and annoying sounds lol.

Yeh the seam on my back box gave in it sounded like a fiesta from the wrc, hahaha, its sounds so tappy when cold once warmed up its like a little sowing machine ticking away, hahaha these engines dont half sound iffy, i mean the exhaust isn't the quietest now at idle but they are all a bit like it sounds decent really for a tiny 1.4, i have to admit despite this i love my little fiesta.

I replaced my back-box with a supposed stock one and when sitting still it sounds pretty nice although when driving its just like a standard. I've learn't my lesson of not to buy £20 back box's off ebay lol. I'll need to get a video up to let you hear it.

Mine is as good as its not OE but a decent brand, idle sounds gruff but not loud, like you say they are normal when going along, atleast the exhaust noise distracts you from your nail can in the mornings anyway hahaha.
