Can anyone give me a quick pointer as to how you change the colour of the ambient lighting in the ST3 and if the brightness can be increased? I'd like to think there was a button somewhere but I am sure

You can't without immense hassle, been looking to do it myself and cannot be bothered with it, dash parts and door card lights are ok and easy peasy, but the centre console / arm rest part is a circuit of all of them, took it out a few months ago and you'll never get the bulb out of it properly without breaking it, solder might also melt it and cause discolouration of the bulb covering etc.

Just a weary task to undertake.

If you mean the light around the cup holders and above the glovebox, no you cant change the colour or brightness. Unlike the US ST which has a button to change to various colours.

You can replace other lights in the cabin with different colour LEDs.

have joined an American ST site and it would appear that the Spirit Blue ST is called Pacific Blue and because it is a cross between blue and purple, one member referred to it as blurple!

You can change the cup holder and glove box one ( glove box is easy ) it's a band of SMDs, just too tricky as hell to do, need a leccy to do it ideally who has a very very steady hand with a soldering iron, can be done but high skill is required. will be very expensive if it goes wrong.
