Possible Future St Owner

I find the suspension is fine for a hot hatch and the handling it has, it certainly not the headrest riding car I've had.

I average 38-42mpg with the mp215 while enjoying the performance on various roads.

Grip and handling in the wet I find pretty good, mainly because I drive to the conditions and not just drive how I would in the dry, then blame the tyres and lack of a LSD for my lack of throttle control.

If I wasn't "driving to the conditions" I'd be in a ditch somewhere. My point is that I expect the car to be able to put the power down more of the time than it does. You can control the throttle all you want, in a car this quick you want the power transferred to the tarmac, not EITHER spinning an inside wheel up or taking the sensible boring option and not using the power at all.

I love the car and it's probably too cheap to include an LSD, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't benefit from one.

I can't be driving it properly, I don't think I've spun the wheels at all. Also I don't remember any of the reviews saying the ST struggles to put it's power down.

Mountune sell a quaife diff if you want one.

It's possible that to make your car feel more lively the bluefin map has had the torque limit reduced or it's allowing the power to come in earlier, possible ruining the hard work ford did in development that made the so well received by the press.

I want to check my tyre pressures as its possible Ford over inflated them which would exaggerate it a lot. The reviews will be comparing against 208 gti etc which are probably the same.

It doesn't spin anywhere near as bad without the remap to be fair.

Yeah the torque comes in with a fair old whallop.
