Mud Flaps For St?

Featured Replies

Has anyone got mud flaps on their ST? I ask because one thing that bugs me is that you only need a short drive after getting the ST nice and clean and you get dust and muck along the bottom sill and up onto the doors.

I wouldn't want it to look awful with them fitted though so would need some that look suitably sporty. Are they a pain to fit?

Thanks. They look good on that blue ST. I see there's a couple of sizes which I assume is width so the bigger ones stick out more. Didn't look into it fully though so only guessing.

Cancel that lol. Just noticed the tiny measurements so it must be thickness (on my part too for not looking lol)

Ok, I am about to buy a set of these: http://www.sico-developments.co.uk/collections/2013-mk7-fiesta-st/products/mk7-5-fiesta-st-mudflaps

Questions

  1. I was going to order red to match the car but does anyone think black would be better?
  2. Is there any benefit to the slightly more expensive 4mm version?
  3. How easy or difficult are they to fit?

Cheers

Any opinions?

Personally I would go for black, coloured flaps would stick out like a sore thumb unless your going for the rally look, they don't look to hard to fit going by the YouTube clip I posted up. The thicker ones are less likely to bend out of the way when at speed so I theory will be more effective but it's a lot of money.

Thanks for the input and the link. I've still got an account with them from the old ST days, so will probably order from there. The black looks good on the red ST but I will try to hunt down a picture of a red ST with red mud flaps before I commit. Just to be sure!
