Hi all I have another galaxy now it's a 2003 1.9TDI

When I start her she runs for a sec or 2 then cuts out again have replaced 1 of the relays so far and have the others ordered but if this doesn't work does anyone have any ideas what the prob could be as need it back on the road it's like losing a leg Just miss the comfort lol. Thanks

could this be an immobilizer problem?

whats the red light doing on the drivers door when you try and start the car?

do you have another key,just to rule out a problem with the key you using,

oh and have you dropped the original key by chance?

The light is off then flashes like mad when it cuts out again

so have you dropped the key,sounds like an imobilizer problem.

No haven't dropped the key. So might have to get her plugged in and see if they can reset it

the reason i ask,if you had the pats chip has a tendency to drop out and peeps dont realize it has then have problems starting.

so weve ruled that out then.

So looks like it's the Immobiliser so have to get it plugged in and see what the computer says I need

you can buy a lead for around a tenner from eBay then done load vag-com.but as its the free version will only do the basics.

not a green gal ghia is it? LF03 ---

Thanks for all your help in the end it was the chip in the key so got it reprogrammed and all good now
