External Temperature Is Incorrect

Featured Replies

Hi all,

On my 2006 (06) 1.25 Climate the external temperature displayed on the dash is around 3 degrees higher than the external temp on my wife's 2008 (58) Zetec S.

This morning mine displayed 5 - 6 where the wife's displayed 2 - 3.

I'm sure the wife's is correct and mine is incorrect.

Is there a way to "recalibrate" the sensor or is it a case of replacing it?

I reset the ECU a few weeks ago for another issue but this didn't help

Where is the sensor located?

TIA

Not sure where it is but generally they are in the mirrors or behind the front bumper, probably just needs to be cleaned rather then calibrated, dirty sensor will read incorrectly.
