Before I begin, I am very new to the car scene and my Fiesta MK7 1.25 (59) is my very first car!

So beware for stupid questions below :)

I know I will be keeping my current car for at least the next 2 years with how things are currently looking. So I want to make the car something I can enjoy to drive the whole time.

I have recently been looking into fitting a new air filter on my car in replacement of the original one.

At this point after finding these two items I thought I knew a bit about air filters and induction kits.

But then I found this....

It looks like an induction kit, but is listed as an Air filter.

Also for the price and the reviews, I'm thinking I would be stupid not to try it!

Any advice and information for a newbie would be great!

Don't bother with generic stuff, could be mated or more suited to a 1.0 or a 4.0 V8, they made it to suit one car originally,

Best thing really would be the K&N Panel, they come with Oil now too and last forever.

I've got a K&N induction kit for the 1.25 from my old fiesta (09 plate). Only had it on for 1month because I then got a new car. It's yours if you'd like it for £50 + shipping. I really enjoyed the noise it made and I think it improved the throttle response - but others may disagree.

No one replaces the other, induction kit will mean you remove the whole airbox, personally these things cause heat soak and increased fuel consumption and more of a placebo effect on performance, real world at best you'll gain 1BHP.

LOL at the Yank review where he is now getting 18MPG from his tatty old truck.

It's still oiled - I'd imagine so, the actual product is covered by the K&N 'million mile warranty'. Although they do have be cleaned and oiled up again after 100,000 miles.

With regards to you second question no. You have to for the panel filter as a replacement for the filter in the original airbox. The induction kit is a replacement for the entire airbox. Hope this helps!
