Question For Mk7 Fiesta St Owners

Featured Replies

I know the St comes standard with matte black interior plastics, I've now changed mine to the titanium etc gloss black ones like a few other members like mark have done.

But matt has just said his came from factory all gloss inside ?

Just wondering was it an option basically ? As I was unaware and just spent £120 to make it gloss.

Or are some matte some gloss ? just a general query as I'm intrigued :) Hahaa

Bear in mind mine was built in March 2013 and was sold on the day of release so it may only apply to very early models, like the guy we have on here whos got an ST in a different shade of blue when Ford ballsed it up ( and gifted the guy the rarest Fiesta on earth )

Yeh possibly, just seems weird if so to why they changed it ? The matte looks crap.

Yeh I seen that and it looks awesome. He'll probli sell it to someone who is oblivious to the fact though and it go unnoticed.

VX did it with the VXR's in the early days, some had Matt some had Gloss or Piano black as they called it, although they went the other way and made them all Matte and even allowed a recall for clients with Piano black as it reflected of the windscreen to much.

That guy needs to hold on to that car and keep it minter than mint, selling it in about 10 years time as a low miler and one of kind will do well, especially if its well speccd

May well have been the same, mine does reflect a fair bit, probably worse so that the TX models as you sit a lot lower and get a slightly steeper angle.

At least it's one thing my pauper spec motor has that yours doesn't ( or did not at least )

I thought ford only did parts bin specials at the end of the production run not the beginning, lol

Nice though as it IMO looks nicer with gloss as it matches the head unit,

Hmmm very strange indeed, atleast you didn't have to fork out for the gloss black then Hahaa.

They are matte black in mine but I prefer the matte to the gloss tbh

The matte just looks cheap and basic in my opinion

Well its more satin that matte, pretty sure it matches the head unit too. The gloss also seems to show the dirt/dust more too

The head unit is gloss so ....

Yeh that is one problem but Aslong as its kept clean looks a lot more classy and upgraded in my opinion. But each to there own I suppose :)

Do you have the Sony though? :p I have the standard unit

Edit: just looked. Suppose it would match on the standard unit either in gloss or satin since its just another surround which would be finished in either. But yeah.. Each to their own :D

Yeh the gloss sony so looked out of place :p Hahaa.

All got to prefer different things or they'd look identical :D

Lol yeah.. If I had the Sony I'd probably change It to gloss. Since it all matches already I think it looks pretty good :)
