JW1982
DTC C1288 is related to the pressure sensor of the ABS / ESP pump. This is a known problem of the ABS / ESP pumps that are used in the Focus MK2 / MK2.5 (and many other vehicles). The solution for this problem is replacing the hydraulic part of the pump. On some ABS/ESP pumps it is only possible to reclame the complete pump. There are also specialized companies which can repair/rebuild the defective pump. They will replace the weak parts which are known causing this problem for uprated parts.
troy45
As I understand it Ford used to only supply the complete ABS modulator, for a rather hefty price. But now they do sell the components needed to repair your existing unit when the pressure sensor has gone belly up.
shaunytee1600
If you look at my post it may help because I had this scenario on my 1.8 tdci 2009 focus. Power is nothing without control .
