Hi,

For some time now ive been having a issue with my car ford fiesta mk5, ive read through loads of forums on the net but cannot find this actual problem and wondered if anyone could shed some light.

On a morning when I start the car its starts ok then the fuel and temp gauges go up and down then settle. If I do a short journey the car will start again after being switched off.

Once ive done my 6 mile run to work and then turned off the engine if I try to restart it straight away it fails but shows an error on the dash only of EAC Fail, if I then leave the car 5 mins it will start up again but as before with the fuel and temp gauges going up and down.

I have a issue with water around two of the plugs and after reading a lot on the net and trying every suggestions I ended up having the core plugs replaced, I assmued as it stated on the net that the problem was a short that this would rectify the problem, all efforts have failed the car is still doing the same things but it is strange and unusual and i cannot find any info on anyone experiencing this similar issue.
