Service Schedule And Maintenence For A Lease Car

Featured Replies

Hello there!

In just under 4 weeks, I take delivery of my Fiesta Zetec S Red Edition. The car is a 2 year lease and it's costing me about £4300 for 10K miles PA for 2 years and a few extras. (Privacy Glass, Spare Wheel and SatNav). I now need to decide whether or not to take the "maintenance pack" along with it. I'm not sure of the exact cost, but I think its in the region of £3-400. My question is, can anyone give me an idea of what sort of service costs I would incur over 2 years and 20K miles. I tried googling about for a service schedule, but I'm not sure!

Can anyone advise please? I think I got a pretty decent deal. I could've got a normal ZS for £3992 without any extras, so I think the extra £300 is a good deal for those 3, 17s and what is effectively a remap.

I have an option to buy at the end, but I'll see how much the car depreciates, if it plummets below 9K, I think I might!

Service is every 12.5k or 12 months whichever occurs first, so if you can only do 10k, you will have the first service 12 months after delivery. Your second service would then be the same time as you contract ends, so it depends if you have to service it before you hand it back( unless you keep the car). Services costs can vary depending on area, probably looking at £120-160.

Does the maintenance pack include tyres, depending on how you drive these could need changing every 5k or 15k.

As little as 5k miles for tyres?? I'd say I'll drive sensibly but briskly 85% of the time and play around the other 15% or less. It's looking like the service pack might be worth it.
