BLUEOVAL09
Hi, I have an 05 Mondeo 2.0 tdci 130, and have been thinking of fitting a tuning unit. A friend recommended one from kingquick saying it had improved the driveability and fuel economy, but i'm still not sure. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of them (or any other units) as i don't want to buy one if they're no good, any views or advice would be much apreciated, thanks ;)
mintalkin
i know a lot of people with these kind of units fitted and are happy with them, but personally i would not risk it as all they do is fool the ecu into upping the fuel pressure which can be a big strane on fuel rails and fragile injectors. a proper remap although more expensive would be the safer bet, in the end its your choice. oto
Aren't the cheap ones simply a resistor that fools the ECU into thinking the engine is cold so that it simply adds more fuel?
