I am trying to get the serial number for my 6000cd radio. Ford have told me they can get it for a charge of £18 I know this might not sound much but for me it is.. I have found this number my pressing a few button on the radio I/053399 can anyone tell if this is what I need? I know I am unable to get the actual radio code from this site but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you'll find the first part of that serial number is V not I/, it's wonky because of the way the screen matrix works.

Have a look on ebay, there are a few traders that do V codes.

or LAY on the charm and ring fords and say you bought the car NEW from them and the keycode wasnt in the paperwork,so why should you have to pay for something that shouldve been there.

i too have the tendency to be a bit blunt at times,especially when i feel peeps are trying to pull my pants down,

and things like this really get my goat,even more so when the code hasnt been given in the 1st place.
