Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost (100) Remap

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with doing this ? What company would you recommend? Any bad experiences?

I have heard it invalidates the warranty if something goes wrong but surely it's up to Ford to prove that there was a remap done (as long as I use a service where I can revert to the manufacturers recommended settings).

Also it's only a wee 1.0 (100) so will it put more strain on other engine parts, causing likely failure?

Thanks

Hi mate I've got 100ps and had it remapped by Collins performance to 140bhp I've had the map for about 8months now and nothing bad to report. Yes it does invalidate you warranty but if something does happen to your car you can just take it off and ford would never know!! And nothing has failed yet on my car the engine can handle the extra power for sure with out straining the engine to much!! It's a must if you have a 100ps!!!

Mountune are the only ones that don't invalidate the warranty. Doesn't it show at all on the ecu if you do revert it back to normal for a warranty claim?

Id go Mountune, think its a 135hp kit. You keep your warranty then :)

Mountune don't do a 100ps remap atm unfortunately - just the 125

How much did that cost you and have you noticed much of a change in mpg since? What would you averge?

Cheers for the reply, much to think on

it cost me £360 for the map and my mpg has not been affect at all I get about 40 to 45mpg to work and back which is stop start traffic so really good for a car that's running 140bhp!! This I'm my read from a dyno day so you can see the how accurate there maps are!! 3rd run was the best because the engine was up to temp :) post-50940-141825731241_thumb.jpg
