What Do You Think Of These Wheels? (Updated New Wheels)

Featured Replies

Hopefully this is in the right section, for my new titanium x with full dress up kit I'm considering changing the alloys. Colour of the new car is frozen white

After looking around I've spotted these

What do you think? Will they suit the car? Are they the correct offset? Be honest with me please

Noooooo don't do it !!!!

You don't like them I take it lol

Or what about getting the wheels that come with the car resprayed? But what colour? I was thinking dark wheels for a white car, would I have to declare a resprayed alloy to the insurers?

Or has anyone got some better wheels (17") which would suit the car

Why not just use the 17s that ford offered? Paint them gloss black and your sorted :) I dont believe in aftermarket wheels on a new car :p

Agree, stick with Ford 17" alloys. Those other look naf to me.

Car comes with 16's wouldn't let me upgrade to 17's dunno why, might be me. Bit of a technophobe :(

Ford have quoted me £800 odd for the 17" rims, it was only a £300 option!

Serious question before I go spending a lot of money, can I even run my new car on 17's? It's a tit x 1l 125 hp

I've just ordered a Titanium X 125bhp through carwow and got the 17" wheels.

those wheels = chavtastic

Not my cup of tea, but if you like them, get them. It is your car, and your taste!

I don't actually mind those... But for the fez I'd say these.. (They're on my upgrade list!)

Would prefer them sprayed in black but I think if you go direct to supplier they stock the black ver

Interesting.

I ordered also through carwow but forgot to tick the box so phoned the dealer after paying deposit and he said they couldn't be added dunno why. Might be as I'm buying car on finance and it's already gone through *shrugs*

Glad it can be run on 17's though :d

I like those too, but too many bolt holes

Exactly :)

I'd say the reason you couldn't add the wheels is because your order was going through the system and couldn't be changed. One thing to note with ford 17" wheels is that a steering limiter is required which can he fitted afterwards for arround £15 / £20.

My bad, they do stock them specifically for fords as well, will try fit them with 4 bolt!

i used to be indecisive, now I'm not sure lol

Anyway, I've now decided on having white wheels for a white car, as I've now decided black wheels have a danger of looking like steels, having seen one last night and silver won't (imo) suit the car. I tried St wheels on a white car on fords build a car website and they just looked rubbish imo, thing is but I'm now stuck between two ford wheels. So I'm after how fragile these wheels are, and opinions (again)

Wheel number one is a 16" white alloy

Wheel number two is a 17" white alloy

http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_fiesta_alloy_wheel_17_x_7_5_spoke_y_design_frozen_white_f_1759894_c_1103.htm

Option 2 (street pack) wheels look nice. ST150 wheels also worth considering for sure. Only thing to note is the street pack wheels and most of the early mk7 wheels suffered buckling.

Ahhh so if option two are made of cheese that leave option one, or are they just as delicate? :-/

Or I could get the 16's that come with the car painted. Would I need to declare this to the insurers? Sounds mad I know but you know what they're like

Ok, what about Lenso RS5's? (In white) http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/lenso/rs5/white-polished/17-inch/205-40-17/continental/sportcontact-2/w-max-168-mph/6547

Any danger of easy buckling / cheese alloys with those? Other opinions?

Many thanks for thinking of me, but I've now decided against those particular wheels and am going for the White 16" wheels instead - typical for after I've decided for the others to come up at a bargain price though eh?
