Hi im new to the sight hope i posted in the right place im lowering my mk3 mondeo 40mm all round got the springs already i just have a couple questions. Thanks in advance

1. In the box it says to shorten the bump stops at least 20mm would this be an mot failure

2 ive heard that on these you have to take the hub assembly off with strut or risk snapping the bolt and even read people dropping a corner of the sub frame is this the case or just someone going about it the wrong way

I know someone that took the bump stops off completely and the car still passed its MOT

In the front the struts are bigger than the space, I had to compress mine on the car slightly to allow me to remove it from the knuckle.

Personally I wouldn't remove the complete knuckle/hub assembly.

On the rear however you do need to remove the hub assembly as one piece but it's actually very simple and quick to do.

I have to be honest and say I've never heard of anyone having to do that but I really don't know.
