DieselPig
Check the cables under the gear lever shroud, the ball joints sometimes pop off.
mactell
Seems to be okay this morning however a little stiff pulling it out of 1st gear to put it into second. Goes in gear fine now though? Any ideas?
DieselPig
Sometimes the cables go rusty, have a look and try a squirt of WD40.
Leyland49er
Hi there in response to your 1st gear problem, I had this kind of problem on my mk6 Zetec s It turned out to be the gear linkage on the front of the gearbox. It went worse after a trip through a flood. There is a cover on the front of the box covering the linkage. Try lubricating it there. mactell
Really really weird problem. Seemed to be fine the next morning and has been ever since?
