Interior Light Stays On But Dim

Featured Replies

So I've got a mk6 fiesta, the interior light is the one with the main light and the two map lights, when the main light is on the Middle setting eg when you unlock the car, open the door etc... It comes on. This light just stays on all the time even though it's very dim? Could it be leakage or just because I'm using LEDs? I've tried different LEDs

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Could be led! Mines stay slightly on but mk7 saves electricity so cuts off after 20mins but dno bout mk6

It will be the LED, they don't need a much voltage to work and they will be a slight voltage in the circuit.

It is the LED , I have the same problem tried a bunch of different bulbs including canbus and cree yet still not luck. It catches the corner of my eye and annoys me although now I just switch it off when driving.

it may require a resistor in paralel to take away any residual voltage left in the circuit.
