Led Bulbs

Featured Replies

I want to buy some LED dipped beam bulbs for my car, could anyone recommend a decent set worth buying?

Thanks

I wouldn't reccomend using led as your dipped beam, not enough light spread at all. Be poor visibility.

If you want the "white" look, then I'd reccomend getting a 6000k h7 hid kit for your dipped beam and some 501 cree leds for your sidelights.

Okay I'll leave the dipped beam then, they okay for Indicators ad rear lights aren't they?

Okay, if you don't want to use a hid kit you could always use osram night breakers or cool blue intense. Also Philips diamond white I think.

I wouldn't use leds for the indicators or rear tail/brake lights either no. Get some chromed 501 and 581 bayonet for the indicators and leave your brake/tail light imho not worth changing.

I have replaced my dipped beam with Osram Nightbreakers. I noticed a difference. They are definitely a bit whiter and I would say they offer some improved visibility. I installed yesterday some Osram Cool Blue Intense for my main beam and, in comparison, my dipped beam look a little bit yellow (though I shan't be changing them again until one fails). They are an improvement, but I wouldn't think it wise to change any lighting if it would compromise safety.

I was going to try some Diamond Vision or Cool Blue Hyper (5000K). but the reviews stated that the light output wasn't as great. I will take visibility first and style second!

But yeah, get chrome indicators. No loss of function and they look a lot better.

I have LED's for my dipped beam currently, more power than 35W HID's but not by a right lot, no heating up though. Make sure to get a good kit though as they get quite hot (£80+).

You got a link Dave to the one you use ? Very interested if there worth replacing xenons

I found that the Ultra Power bulbs burnt out quicker than the High Power ones

I went halfords and bought a set of LEDs for my sidelights, they were less than £10 and really look good, bright and white and they make a huge difference to the overall colour of the headlamp even on dipped beam at night:)
