Hi

I have just joined this site after only just buying a 2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec S, I am used to having a bit more power from previous cars

I'm looking at giving the car more BHP but I don't want no boy racer exhaust etc

I've been advised to get a Chinese ECU but not 100% sure on this?

What can you recommend?

Chinese ECU says it all, don't bother, Exhaust won't give you any notable power gains either, only way to get power on an NA engine is to either ITB it with big cams, decat and bespoke map etc or SC / Turbo it, either way you'll be chucking 10K at the car to do so, all in hunting for power it's never worth it, just buy another car for the money, you'd sell that an get something like a Ibiza FR / Polo GTI or a recalled cheaper Corsa VXR, or a Clio 197/200, much better option.

Is it a diesel? If so you will be able to get more power. If not then Matt is the man to listen to.

Also one of my speakers have blown in the front, what ones do you recommend to get good sound quality?

Depends on your budget, JBL are perfectly fine replacements, Alpine are good but R series upwards only and then Rockford Fosgate which is what I've had, bought them some 8 years ago and put them into every car I've had and never blown or crackled, well worth £90 at the time.

But try some JBLs pretty good American engineering made in China stuff.
