Phil 87
Hi and welcome :) You'd be better off posting this in the Focus section, then you'll get more replies: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/forum/2-ford-focus-club/
troy45
I had 2 ST170's when they were a current model. First was an 02 plate and was ordered before launch so was a pretty early build. That one had a lot of problems and trading in for a 1.6 Fiesta was a good move. Had maybe 10 faults on it, including 2 which were still there when I traded it in. Second one was 53 plate and only ever had 1 warranty repair for a door trim strip coming away. In general driving I would say mid to high 20's for fuel consumption, better than the mk2 Focus ST but not amazing. Faults I'm aware of - variable intake manifold cable fittings used to break, exhaust cat brackets breaking, not sure what else. Likely by now most of the common faults like with the intake manifold will have been repaired one way or another but against that they'll be showing the effects of age and mileages on various parts.
