Squeeky Wheel

Featured Replies

Well first issue with the car, well 2 issues really. i have emailed the dealership to let them know just waiting a response.

Issue 1) squeeking coming from passenger side front wheel. just when going along the girlfirend was driving the car the other day and i had the passenger window open and could hear it very faintly and highly pitched squeel, any ideas?

issue 2) when i have the heater on in the car, again, theres like a buzzing noise coming from the engine. sounds like a large wasp stuck under the bonnet lol. when i turn heating off, it stops, sounds like a belt? any ideas?

any advice would be great :)

1) Is it the wheel or suspension? Does it does it constantly or only over bumps? I've noticed Fords tend to have faintly squeaky suspension that you can hear as you go over bumps with the windows down.

2) Is the A/C on? It will sound different when the A/C clutch is engaged. The Fiesta has a particularly loud electro magnetic A/C clutch too.

we were going over a flat road surface but ever so slightly turning left around the bend. i suppose theres quite a few rough patches on the road and didnt really take notice of when it was squeeking the most. Ill take the car out later to do some shopping and see if i can tell when its doing it then.

I see what you mean with the aircon. although i only think it sounds odd because ive never owned a car with working air con. Although i can turn the aircon off and it sounds basically the same. its when the actual blowers are on, it sounds like buzzing from the drivers side of the engine bay.

I've had something similar on my two fiesta's, not so much my newer one.

The only thing that could replicate it was reaching 3k rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear and a little squeak would crawl out near the drivers side wheel. Was very high pitched. Did this on flat roads, cobbles (Don't try this) straight roads, bendy roads etc. sometimes it did it, sometimes it didn't.

Just got very annoying thinking that something was wrong, Ford checked, nothing, another garage checked, nothing.

So yeah, take that as you may.

I went out today and its just intermittant, took it up to ford, they say theres no issues and let me have a look while it was up on ramps. theres nothing there everything is brand spanking new still! cant hear anything, cant see anything, no play in wheels absoultly nothing even took the brake pads off and all is good.

i guess it just doesnt like me lol
