Help Needed - Rain Sensor Location On Windscreen

Featured Replies

Seems like a daft question, but if anyone can help, I'd be grateful.

I've retrofitted auto wipers and lights, which all work, except that without the correct windscreen I've had to silicon the sensor module below the mirror, and I put it so that the wiper blades clear the sensor of water on a sweep - now I cam to cover up the sensor and the wiring with the plastic trim, but it doesn't fit because the sensor is far too low. There are two possible reasons - 1 is that the mirror/trim pairing is not actually from a fiesta, and therefore will never fit right, or 2, that I've stuck the sensor on too low.

The help I need is to know whether someone elses sensor is in the wiper blade area, or whether it's above it, so that the sensor actually never clears of rain via the wipers.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully someone will be able to get back to me with an answer!

I don't have my Fiesta any more but I am pretty sure that the rain sensor is in the swept area of the windscreen just below the interior mirror.

The rain sensor is like a jell blob ( i think )

At first i thought it was the black grid/mesh built into the window.

Be good to know.
