Compatible Mobile Phones With Ford Sync

Featured Replies

Hi there. My new Fiesta Titanium X arrives on March 1st and I want to get a new mobile phone. Can anyone tell me if the Motorola Moto G 2nd generation phone is fully compatible with Ford sync. Thanks

I should think that any smartphone with Bluetooth should be able to work with Ford Sync

I'm using the Moto E with it so the Moto G should work as well.

Go to the Ford website and look at the bottom of the page under connectivity it will list all the phones and their compatibility issues if they have any!

My husbands phone, a samsung s5 works brilliantly with my cars ford sync and includes all the features such as return texts as well as the usual hands free talk and so on, my phone iPhone 5s does most things but not the return text feature or sync apps (iOS as opposed to android)

i use moto g 2nd gen with no issues, including the text message reading and sending feature, but are you aware how much bigger the phone is compared to 1st gen moto g,

i didnt until it arrived .to big for my pockets.

Same here have Samsung S5 completely compatible even the voice from Google maps directions come through on the system . Brilliant phone for the fiesta

Incidentally it's baby sibling the s5 mini is fully compatible too. My s3 mini was and this helped my decision in sticking with the range.

Just an update on my s5 mini. I'm finding blue tooth music a little intermittent. My s3 was rock solid but this cuts out now and then.

Just to come back on the s5 mini. It seems Samsung has a niggle over blue tooth and wifi. If anyone buys one. For the moment the solution is to turn wifi off when in the car. Music plays fine after this.

I know I'm talking to myself but for posterity I've got around this with an app called trigger. It allows you to set tasks based on conditions. I've told it if it connects specifically to sync to disable wifi and on disconnect to turn wifi back on again.

Nice one mate! I had this with my phone and realised I had battery saver in which would save power and disconnect the Bluetooth but a think a update a few months ago fixed it

S4 works perfectly as well. Even if it takes several hours to switch from music to "oh hey, you've got a call"

I can confirm that the Sony Xperia z3 compact works perfectly with Ford sync.
