I've got a next base pro.

Tucked up by the rear view mirror with the power lead run behind the head lining.

Are these cheap ones any good on eBay,i know they won't be nothing like the top one's but are they that bad.

Is the picture o.k so you can read reg and stuff, some say loop record over newest recorded if card full, what

time do you get on these, say travel 5 mile will it still be saved or recorded over.

All depends it's highly likely they will not record number plates. The only way to describe the video I'd like this.... If you have ever watched the news where they are playing footage recorded by a passer by on their mobile phone, you know how it's all blotchy and pixelates? That is about the average quality of the dirt cheap ones on eBay. Depending on the size of memory card if you got say a 16 which I think is he max they support, the lesser quality means you would probably gain a good 7 hours of driving before overwrite....

The e-prance is decent. I have one for the back and a RoadHawk DC-2 for the front

How much was the rest cam Dave?

I paid £28 + postage from Amazon for the non GPS model. The Roadhawk at £179 (from Santa) has GPS so I didn't bother with GPS for the rear cam.

Check out the dashcam topic area, I am going to add a couple of videos from this week from the Roadhawk. Cheers

Mate just had a cheap one off amazon for £25 to try.

This one can go upto 32gig card, can you set them so it delete the start of the card when full so you don't loose

the new recording or set a format time say every 7 days.

Normally dash cams just overwrite old to new.
