Looking For Some Advice

Ive never understood why you would want to make your car look like another car in the same range. Why not just spend the extra cash and get an ST in the first place.

Mods I have done to my ZS that improve the car but don't make it out to be something it isn't:

replaced number plate bulbs, headlight bulbs and sidelight bulbs with whiter versions that match the puddle lights.

Fitted red LED footlight bulbs to compliment the cup holders.

Other than the interior bulbs that I haven't got around to changing yet I think that's about all the cash I will spend on mods (if you can call them that)

Detango your indicator bulbs. An absolute must. You could also get a shorter aerial if you don't rely on your radio.

What's de tango the bulb and how to I do it :D

Thanks for the advice mate. I'm not trying to make it seem better or faster than it is, just simply trying to improve the already lovely looks of the car. Also what bulbs did you use to match the cup holder ones? Thanks

I'm even more confused now :)

Check your PM mate thanks :)

It just means to replace your indicator bulbs with ones that are coated to be silver and reflective, rather than orange. Obviously, the bulbs themselves do shine amber / orange when you use them!

I'm quick replying off my phone, but you would need to look for Silvatec or Philips Silvervision bulbs. A search through the forums here should give you everything you need. Rear and side ones are pretty easy; I had more trouble with the front, but it is not impossible :)

Changed all 6 bulbs in 15 minutes :)

I'm not changing my bulbs. If everyone changes them then mine is going to look like the odd one out and unique.

If everyone on this forum changed their bulbs, they'd still be more 'unique' than those that hadn't.

You can't beat a good bulb change!

The bulbs I used for the footwell lights were these- http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-W5W-6-LED-Bulbs.html

Not majorly bright but a nice effect I think.

Sorry about my rant earlier regarding making the car look like something it isn't. That was just my opinion. Obviously each to their own. If we were all the same it would be very boring on here.

A lot cheaper to change the rear splitter than buy an ST.

I agree. Yes it would, that's what makes cars so interesting seeing everyone's different opinions, shown by how they mod their car! You should upload a few pics of yours mate I wouldn't mind checking it out :)

And thanks for the link!
