Mk7 Zetec S Bumper Change

Featured Replies

Damaged the rear bumper on the car and am looking at changing it with another one farther than repairing, the replacement bumper I have found isn't a zetec s bumper so would need to swap the diffuser and wings over, how hard is this to do? Can you even remove the wings?

Thanks in advance,

Yes you can change them over, the centre diffuser part is easy and just unclips once the rivets are drilled out.

The corner pieces will have a rivet underneath to drill out and then will be tiger sealed at the top. So will require a sharp knife to cut through the sealent carefully I think.

It's possible though

So your thinking it's possible? What would then be the best was to reattach the wings?

Yeh it is possible, best way to re-attach the wings once removed is rivet at the bottom and then tiger seal around the top but clean so no residue showing through.
