Sunroof Creaking Sound

Hello

i have a 2010 MK2.5 focus with sunroof.

Before 2-3 months the sunroof started to make an annoying sound. it is a creaking sound and it becomes louder and more annoying every day. Most of the time when i close the inside cover of the sunroof(this hand sliding cover for making shadow) the sound stops.

Have anyone the same problem?

I think some bolts of the sunroof's mechanism are loosen. is there an easy way to reach the mechanism?

    is it a tilt n slide jobbie?

    if it is,then get it to lift up and you might be able to see some screws/bolts so try and tighten them up.

    i also would spray some silicone spray on the runners,as it may well be drying out,hence the noise?.

    I have a 2009 Zetec and my roof lining creaks and I don't even have a sunroof!

    Sunroof do they even exist anymore lol the rubber seal can get old and dry out I find if you massage some Vaseline into the rubber (should write fifty shades of ford) it will soften it a bit

    We've got the same problem.

    Ford Endura, creaking sound in sunroof. Very, very annoying.

     It's been back to Ford 3 times, they worked it full over, but noise still remains. Was told that Ford accepts this 

    as an acceptable problem. ugh..... 

    Have you had anything work, just out of interest?
