Tpms

Featured Replies

Alright people

The other day my TPMS light came on so I put air in the tyres thinking it will go off it never turns out there was a screw in one of my back tyres so I took it to get repair thinking it will go off it never so I put more air in my tyres 30 psi I thought that should be enough but the light stayed on in the end I had to reset it to get it off is this normal?

Many thanks.

Thats normal , just inflate all tyres to correct pressure and press reset in the display menu

Can tpms be enabled by ford dealer on my 14 tit ? The type that simply works through the abs monitor. I currently have no software option.

Just I got home last night and just happen to stumble on my back tyre was soft. Seems I've got a slow.

Or adding to above. Can they enable it if you buy the new sensor system? Expect that would be pricey though

Sorry. Realised I asked this when i first got my fiesta and someone said a dealer won't do it.

I guess a sort of downside is that tpms is another check for mot failure, although If I had it I'd rather it worked

Having it fitted wont be cheap, on your age you would need to know if your bcm ( body control module ) has the reciever built in, best way to check is part number on bcm check with ford parts dept at your dealer, then if it has just a case of fitting sensors in wheels and switching on.

Not done it , but sure it could be done.

Ta.

Got puncture fixed today. Guy in garage says that asda do a water based foam cheap that they can clean out tyre and reuse. Whereas the ford stuff can't and is also expensive.

Thankfully mine was a slow puncture and didn't need it. Apparently half a drill bit.
