I got my mk7 1.25 fiesta measured on the dyno and on the road (precision measuring) and got this: it puts out 87 bhp, goes from 0-60 in just 11.9 seconds (gas tank over a half full, air con off, just me driving) and 12.3 seconds with one passanger ?!

on the dyno it was a little bit quicker (11.6s)

So,how is it possible,ford claims it needs 13.3 s from 0-60mph

just to say,the car has no modifications....

has anyone else tried measuring their mk7 performance (engine doesnt matter)??

saw that another member pushed the 1.25 mk7 to 60mph in only 11.5s........

oh,and just one more thing:won a quarter mile drag race against the suzuki swift (92bhp) :D

but it is a hell a lot faster than a 1.2 corsa,swift and other similar cars,even faster than a 1.4 16v ibiza :)

The 1.4 is 'apparently' .9 secs faster to 60mph. :P not worth the extra money ;)

The 1.6 is a nice engine :D just mr insurance doesnt agree right now

I could get Matt to do mine on the dyno where he works, I'm not sure I trust them though and owners can't drive it on dyno, only work trained staff can :(

I would expect nothing less ;)

I have not broken the speed limit in 9 weeks - that might be due to the fact I am currently carless . . .LOL

I have just watched Caligators video and his speedo is in Kilometres per hour so 60mph = 97kph which I reckon took about 10 secs on the time bar across the bottom of the youtube clip (Ford 1.6 = 9.9 secs so in the right area)

The Mountune clip click sent by Nipz took about 9 secs, is that worth the extra dosh ?? - What are the "Official Mountune" figures ??

Ah takes me back to the rally car days ....................... try catching the Escort (no you best not, its not a fair game) ........................... but back to reality 1.6 petrol Fiesta ah well ............................ the figures I look at nowadays say 45.4 !!!!!!!

They say his hair stands on end when he looks at a new shaped Fiesta

They say he can tell your DNA just by looking at you

All I know is they need to give it to STIG to get it to do 7.6 secs .........................
