I have an 2011 econetic with 32k on the clock. It's a nice car but a few annoying problems.

When lifting off the throttle the car jolts twice, sometimes quite noticeable, sometimes not but always twice. Sometimes straight away, sometimes after a couple of seconds and always worse when the engine is hot. Also when on minimal throttle, it feels a little ropey but put your foot down and the car pulls sweetly and smoothly. Starts first time, no smoke, good full economy (mid 60's) , full service history but noted the fuel filter hasnt been changed.

The second thing is when the engine is switched off, it runs on for a second. I also have a 62 plate 1.6 Ford Focus as well (appreciate different engines) but this cuts out immediately. Is this normal.

No codes are showing. I have noted that the temp never gets above 80 degrees - is this normal.

Any advice would be Appreciated.

right ...bit of an update.

Dropped the car into my local garage who I rate. They acknowledged the issue but unsure what the cause is. Might be a case of checking / replacing things one by one until the cause is found which is something I'm not keen to do due to costs. Appreciate it might be a fords job, but the bills will rack up even faster. No codes detected.

Any guidance appreciated.

Sorry didn't make it clear re switch off, my other car Is a 1.6 tdci focus.
