Positive Insurance Experiences

Just rang up my insurance (Hastings Direct) today to inform them of having DRL's fitted to the car. He spoke to his supervisor and confirmed they would class it has mod, but only needed to make a note on the policy file that the car had DRL's. Was expecting price to go up or have bit more trouble than this. Anyone else had positive insurance experiences compared to the usual negative ones?

Kind of, in the sense that my insurer loves mods, the more the better and only ever had to pay a 25quid admin fee for declaring

Was also only a 25quid admin fee to transfer the policy from my 05 plate 3grand 1.6 focus over to my beast of a 58 plate 8grand 2.2 turbo mondeo titanium x sport. Happy days indeed

My insurer claim to hate mods but when I explained what I was doing to mine, St diffuser, vinyl wrapping, tinting windows they were totally cool with it. Didn't charge me any extra or an administration fee which was cool :D

I used to have admiral, even under them I could do most mods for free!

Good to see some insurance companies are fine with adding mods. I am surprised at admiral allowing it though

Yeah if it was removable they didn't care. They just made notes.
