Accident Repair

Featured Replies

I was recently in an accident in my 2005 3 door 1.4 trendline mk6 Fiesta. The car is otherwise in immaculate condition. In this accident my left rear quarter panel was driven into by a Nissan X-trail and the damage is well post-62892-142425312136_thumb.jpgpost-62892-14242531542_thumb.jpgpost-62892-142425318795_thumb.jpg

I live in South Africa and am extremely enthusiastic about my car as she is my first and has done nothing but serve me greatly.

This morning however I recieved a quote from my insurers with a cost of 41000 Rand ( around £3000 ) which in my country is a lot of money and I believe to be an absolutely ridiculous figure. The worst part of it all is that my insurers believe the car if not damaged is worth 39000 Rand (£2200) and therefor will not pay out the repair of the damage..which scares me as my Fiesta is a dream to me.

I was wondering if anyone on here would have the ability to give me part quotes including the rear bumper, the rear axle, the left wheel hub(including drum brake, rim and mounting) and ofcourse the rear panel which comes all the way around the windows and ending just befor the bonnet.

Thank you
