Been really enjoying my MK6 1.25 Fiesta. It's a really fun car to drive and accelerates the hell over so many bigger "power" cars. But thinking I'd love a bit more overall power. Let's face it - I'm craving the ST model!

I can't afford the new shape ST right now. I'd actually really like a MK6 ST but looking at the MPG it looks really bad (and I do around 50 miles every day).

I'm probably going to stick with my 1.25 Zetec for another year or so and get my insurance up. But I'd like to get a MK6 ST after that. My friend says get a Focus instead.

Anyone out there got an ST already and willing to give a brother some feedback on efficiency/performance?

I know even looks wise you're craving an ST. But maybe don't discount a new model 1.0 eco. Have drive of one it might surprise you. Maybe the zetec s version for the style or tit for the toys then do it up yourself. Have a drive anyway.

save for 1.0 ecoboost, lad at work got 05 fiesta st and he cant accelerate past me in my focus 1.0,100hp(bluefin chipped)

A used new shape ST is cheaper than you might think. So I wouldn't rule one out just yet but the zetec s 1.0 ecoBoost 125bhp or a red or black edition with the 1.0 ecoBoost 140bhp would be worth it as well.

Perfect place to ask lol I came from a mk6.5 limited edition zetec blue fiesta 1.25 loved it but wanted a better mpg like you soo i looked around you can get good car cheap! Well look at my situation I didn't want a st after test drive the 1.0 EcoBoost 125 lovely car and engine I was gonna get a Zetec S but I wanted the gadgets of titanium so what I did was looked around and got a fiesta titanium for £9,750! Only 15k and just over a year old! What a great buy! Just haggle them down and do it near end of a quarter! Like I got mines during August as it's end of a quarter and new plate change so the car was 11k and got them down to the price a played if you have a look at my blog under this text highlighted blue and see my progress! saved so much! And the car is a absolute God send!
