Bye Bye Fiesta?!...

Featured Replies

Well, it's time to get used with this idea "bye bye Fiesta"...

I am planning to get a bigger car since we have one new member in our small family and therefore we considering the Ford Mondeo, as the first option.

Now we have a few dilemmas, which engine to choose from the available ones or should we wait for the new engines and the 4x4 version in March-April.

We first took a lood at the 1.5 EcoBoost but we were easily scared by the idea that the car will be to heavy for the 160BHP and therefore we moved on to the diesel, particularly the 2.0 TDCi 180 BHP.

Any words of wisdom to make our decision easier?

Cheers!

Is the 2.0L Ecoboost not available yet? That's probably worth waiting for, but I had a look and the 0-60 of the 1.5 is just over 9 seconds, so the car certainly isn't too heavy for that engine.

The 2.0L Ecoboost is available but I want to get the manual one. The 2.0L Ecoboost comes with the normal automatic gear box, not the powershift.

That's a shame, I wonder why on earth they would do that? Apart from that it looks like it has some amazing features, especially the adaptive LED headlights. I hope that makes it's way onto the next Fiesta.

I wonder the same, why they would use a basic automatic gearbox instead of the powershift, which is much better. But all other features are really nice indeed. I think the easier would be to test drive each engine and see the differences otherwise it's just talk.

I have to be honest that I've researched into the Octavia RS also...and now these are the last two options, either the Mondeo or the Octavia RS. I like the look of the Mondeo and the features but I am not the biggest fan of their engines, while on the RS I like the engine better but the features are not that interesting compared to the Mondeo.
