Philf1
Just a heads up guys Ford have issued a safety recall on all Fiestas manufactured after 17/09/14 due to a fault with rear seatbelts. My son got an email from our local dealer today so if affected you should be contacted but might be worth being pro-active and getting in touch with them if you may be affected. I found this on Fiesta STOC which gives a bit more detail. "Seat belt buckles made 17/09/14 up to 30/09/14, (build date of the car is irrelevant) the date is on the back of them so if its inbetween and including those dates it needs checking by your dealer, I wouldn't worry as Ford themselves will send out a letter to owners of affected vehicles."
iantt
Been mentioned before in another topic about some other recalls, but good to know letters now being sent out. no point being proactive unless you have letter in hand, letters are sent out in batches so not everyone turns up at dealers in 1 week wanting there car done at same time. Philf1
Ah nice one I'd not seen the other thread. As long as everyone affected knows thats all that really matters I guess

Phil 87
I'm glad my car's not affected, although I could count the number of times I've had a passenger in the back on one hand. If my car was affected I'd probably try and get it booked in to be fixed though unless you have to wait for a letter. I doubt the vast majority of Fiesta owners will hear about this unless they use owners club forums or it appears in newspapers, so I can't see there being a sudden rush at the dealers. bezzer
This might be the reason I was told my red edition along with all other Fiesta's were put on quality hold, therefore delaying my delivery.
